George Mount is Director of Outdoor and Touring Performance and the founding Artistic Director of Wooden O. Acting roles with Wooden O include Shylock, Hamlet, Cassius, Benedick, Caliban, Romeo and Feste. He has also directed (as well as acted in) Wooden O productions of Julius Caesar, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Tempest, All’s Well That Ends Well, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors and Much Ado About Nothing. For Seattle Shakespeare Company, George has played Antipholus of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors and Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew, in addition to performing in productions of King Lear, Richard III and Macbeth. Before merging Wooden O with Seattle Shakespeare Company, George served as Education Coordinator for Seattle Shakespeare Company. Other credits include work at ACT, Book-It Repertory Theatre, SecondStory Repertory, Village Theatre, Boomer Classics, Theater Schmeater and Annex Theatre.
